A MAN in his 30s was “stabbed eight times” in a park attack with police still urgently hunting the knifeman.
The victim was assaulted at a park in Havant, a town near Portsmouth in Hampshire just after midnight on Tuesday, September 2.

His attacker is still at large as police are yet to arrest anyone in relation to the attack that occurred at Leigh Park.
The man’s sister shared on social media that her brother was stabbed “eight times” and suffered a punctured lung, but was “currently stable”.
An air ambulance is reported to have attended the scene to provide emergency treatment, and the man was taken to hospital.
He is said to be in a serious but stable condition despite injuries, according to police.
A spokesperson for the police said: “A man in his 30s was seriously assaulted in a park near Chalton Crescent in Havant.
“It was reported that the man had been stabbed and he was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment by the ambulance service.
“His injuries have been described as serious, but not life-threatening.
“An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance confirmed dispatch of an air ambulance around 12.13am.
In a statement, they said: “The Critical Care Team consisting of a doctor and a specialist paramedic provided treatment to a patient on scene before escorting them to hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.”
