Forecasters are predicting that the white stuff could soon be on the cards after Storm Henk wreaked havoc earlier this week.

The Met Office said in their long range weather forecast that from January 9 to January 18, conditions will be much colder than recently.
Temperatures are set to fall with a cold easterly breeze developing in the south and widespread frost
Meteorologists added that “conditions are likely to remain cold” in this time period.
And there is an increasing chance of some snow showers, developing particularly in the north.
However, the Met Office’s long-range forecast says the majority of the UK will see dry weather between January 9 and January 18
Looking further ahead, the long range weather forecast from January 19 to February 2 also predicts some more snowfall.
Meteorologists said there is an increased chance of colder than average conditions during this period.
And this could lead to more “wintry” snow falling.
The Met Office said: “Currently the chance of widespread severe cold is still deemed low, but still the risk of impacts from cold, including ice and snow is greater than normal.
“It is likely to be drier than recent weeks, but what does fall is more likely to be of a wintry nature.
“While there is a chance of brief, unsettled spells, which would bring milder air for a time, it would likely also be accompanied by a period of sleet or snow.
“However, when, or even if, this would happen is very uncertain, and overall the main theme will be much more in the way of settled conditions through this period.”
It comes as the UK Health Security Agency has issued a cold weather alert covering the whole of England valid from 9am on January 6 to 12 noon on January 9.
Temperatures likely to be below average especially overnight with much more overnight frost than of late.
Ice is likely to be an issue given the very wet ground in most areas.
Meanwhile, Storm Henk claimed its second victim after a woman died when her car smashed into a fallen tree.
The horror crash happened on Tuesday as 94mph winds were ripping through the UK.
Tragically an 87-year-old woman, who has not been named, died as a result of the smash involving a red Smart Forfour – just hours after a man in his 50s was killed in another crash.
