THIS is the shocking moment thousands of gallons of water burst out of a broken pipe – leaving a residential street completely submerged.
Homes have been evacuated along the road in Marylebone, central London, after the water main erupted in the early hours today.

Dozens of firefighters were scrambled to Enford Street at around 5.20am as gallons of water spilled down the street.
Traffic has been diverted away and locals are being told to avoid the area as emergency crews battle to stop the flooding.
The burst water main, measuring just 9cm, is also affecting properties on neighbouring York Street.
One local told how they had unbelievably been forced to “swim out” of their basement room.
Writing on social media, they said: “Burst pipe on Enford Street London at 5:20am this morning.
“All basement flats flooded and submerged – water pressure broke all windows.
“I had to swim out of my basement room and all possessions are gone. All residents evacuated by emergency services.”
London Fire Brigade said eight engines and 60 firefighters were rushed to the scene this morning.
The service said: “Eight fire engines and 60 firefighters are dealing with flooding in the area around Enford Street in Marylebone.
“A burst 9cm water main has caused flooding across an area of around 200m by 100m, affecting multiple basement flats.
“Approximately 14 residents from ground floor and basement properties have been evacuated as a precaution.
“The public are advised to avoid the area where possible while crews work to make the scene safe.”
Crews from Paddington, Euston, Soho, Chelsea, Kentish Town and surrounding fire stations were sent to the scene.
Thames Water confirmed works were underway to temporarily stop the water flow in the area.
It said: “We’re dealing with a burst pipe on Enford Street which may be causing low water pressure or a temporary loss of supply.
“We’re really sorry if your taps aren’t running as they should.
“To prevent further flooding and allow us to safely carry out repairs, we’re working to temporarily shut off the water.
“We’re on site and doing everything we can to restore things to normal as quickly as possible.”
