THIS is the heroic moment onlookers tackled an alleged knifeman to the floor in the middle of central London’s Leicester Square.
Four brave men rushed to disarm and handcuff the man in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The citizen’s arrest was conducted by four officers from My Local Bobby, a private security firm.
They sprang into action after a man was stabbed and another was left injured by the suspected knifeman, reports The Telegraph.
The heroic four, aged in their 20s and 30s, sustained injuries, though they are not thought to be life-threatening.
In footage filmed on their body-worn cameras, the security guards can be heard demanding that the suspect “drop the knife.”
They then proceeded to handcuff the man and hand him over to a police armed response unit.
Two knives were recovered and multiple men were rushed to hospital to be treated for their injuries.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers were called to the scene at 1.08am to reports of an armed man threatening the public.
Officers soon attended, where they were met with the four brave men that managed to detain the knifeman.
The spokesperson told The Telegraph: “A 50-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, affray and possession of a Class B drug.
“He was also taken to hospital.
“This is believed to be an isolated incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
This incident came just a day after the same My Local Bobby officers received a police commendation for their service.
The heroic men had previously helped to save the life of the victim of another knife attack.
My Local Bobby was set up by David McKelvey, a former Met detective chief inspector, in a bid to combat thefts, shoplifting, criminal damage and other anti-social behaviour.
Mr McKelvey has praised his “bobbies” for their “incredible bravery and courage running towards danger, a knife-wielding suspect who had already stabbed one person and was threatening others.”
He explained that they were able to detain the man after a violent struggle.
The Telegraph also revealed last week that a confidential Met report recommended that the force should consider routinely arming officers with guns.
The internal safety review was commissioned following the stabbing of two officers by a 25-year-old man in Leicester Square in 2022.
However, this proposal was rejected by Met chiefs.
They instead elected to maintain their policy of deploying firearms units to tackle knife attacks where a local commander deems it necessary to protect both officers and the general public.
