THIS is the shocking moment a man is Tasered by cops after kicking off a wing mirror and lashing out at passersby.

Horrifying footage appears to show a man involved in an altercation with a group on a busy road in Westminster, central London.

The man stood in the middle of the road and tore off a police van’s wingmirror

He squares up to one of the bystanders and tries to land a kick with a karate-esque move

Cops Tasered the man as he tried to flee

He walks into the middle of the road, dodging oncoming traffic as cars narrowly avoid him.

As he appears to spit at the group, the woman behind the camera warns him “your face is all over this f*****g video”.

Sirens can be heard before a police van with blue flashing lights arrives, intercepting the man.

In the short clip, he then shouts at the officers before repeatedly punching the driver’s wing mirror – eventually sending it flying off.

Bystanders can be heard shouting “holy s***, holy s***… what are you doing mate?”

The group watches on in horror as the man then picks up the mirror and launches it towards them.

After repeatedly shouting at the police, he squares up to one of the bystanders and tries to land a kick with a karate-esque move.

As cops confront him, he tries to escape by running between two parked cars.

But he is struck by one of the Tasers and collides with one of the vehicles before crashing to the ground.

The footage was originally posted on Youtube by citizen journalist Emma Dunwell, who went on to describe the “scary scenes”.

In a caption under the video, Emma said: “Police quickly arrived and the man attacked the van, punching off the wing mirror.

“The officer responded brilliantly quickly and Tased him.

“I started recording as soon as I could, about 30 seconds into the altercation.

“Apologies for shaky recording, it was a scary situation.”

The Met Police confirmed officers were called to the incident just after 8.30pm on August 9.

Mohammed Boumiaz, 36, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court just two days later.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Police were called after reports of a man throwing items and acting aggressively towards the public.

“Met officers attended the scene and swiftly arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage.

“He was taken to hospital and assessed by medical staff. He did not receive any injuries.

“The man, who can now be named as Mohammed Boumiaz, was charged with criminal damage to a vehicle.

“He was charged with a further count of affray the following day.

“He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 11 August, where he was bailed until a date in November.”
