A POPULAR UK store has recalled a range of chocolate biscuits after they were found to be not suitable for all consumers.

Multiple packs of the sweet treat brand were pulled from shelves following the discovery.

A range of biscuits from Les Florentins, including the brand’s Orange Chocolat Lait, have been pulled from UK shelvesLes Florentins

The major recall has just been announced by TJX Europe, which operates both T.K. Maxx and Homesense, where the biscuits were sold.

Multiple versions of the Les Florentins Chocolat Biscuits have now been removed from stores.

Health risk

The move comes after it was discovered some of the biscuits contain gluten, an ingredient not declared on the packaging.

This means that the snacks are not suitable for anyone with coeliac disease or those who have an allergy to gluten.

The firm has advised these customers “do not eat them” as they issue a nationwide recall.

Products affected

An allergy alert posted to the Food Standards Agency (FSA) revealed that the recall affects six 100g packs of the biscuits.

Packets that were sold in stores between June and September 2025 are part of the recall.

The brand’s Orange Chocolate Noir, Caramel Chocolat Lait, Orange Chocolat Lait, Menthe Chocolate Noir, and Citron Chocolat Noir are affected.

And the expiration dates of the affected packages range from June 19, 2026 to July 7, 2026.

The batch codes affected are: Orange Chocolat Noir 17125, Caramel Chocolat Lait 18325, Orange Chocolat Lait 17125, Menthe Chocolat Noir 18825, and Citron Chocolat Noir 17025.

A full recall notice detailing the potential health risk was also shared by TJX Europe.

“We are recalling these products due to possible presence of gluten,” the statement read.

“While this information is stated on the original packaging, it was omitted from the additional label.”

The notice went on to say that the products “may pose a health risk consumers with a gluten allergy or intolerance”.

Customers with allergies or intolerance to gluten have since been urged not to consume any of the affected chocolate biscuits.
