A NEW definition of extremism will see Whitehall banned from engaging with hatemongers.
Top Tory Michael Gove will unveil the wording designed to outlaw those who seek to “undermine, overturn or replace” the British democratic system and our values.

The Sun understands the Communities Secretary will name groups Cage and Mend as falling foul of the definition.
A top figure in Cage notoriously described IS butcher Jihadi John as a “beautiful young man”.
Fascist group British National Socialist Movement will also be hit by the measure.
Groups promoting ideology “based on violence, hatred or intolerance” will be barred from engaging with ministers and government departments.
And those linked to groups falling foul will be banned from receiving public appointments.
The definition is not legally binding but could be applied in university, police and CPS settings.
Ministers have also established a Whitehall counter-extremism centre to ensure the definition is maintained across departments.
It follows a spike in anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim hate incidents since October 7 attacks.
Mr Gove said: “Today’s measures will ensure government doesn’t inadvertently give a platform to those setting out to subvert democracy and deny other people’s rights.”
