NEWCASTLE stars Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton suffered a travel nightmare while flying to South Korea for the international break.

The duo were due to land in Seoul on Tuesday before joining up with Carlo Ancelotti and the Brazil national team for a training session.

The duo are set to fly over 12,500 miles over the next week

However, the plane they were travelling on completed a U-turn midway through the journey.

A broken window forced the pilots to return to Amsterdam.

They travelled for around 12 hours in total – without landing anywhere near the destination.

The Newcastle stars are now expected to be transferred onto different flights in the hope of arriving on Wednesday afternoon.

Reports in Brazil claim that Bruno will arrive in South Korea first as he is taking a connecting flight through another European country.

Meanwhile, Joelinton is expected to make the journey from Amsterdam.

Brazil have a training session scheduled for 4pm local time at Goyang Stadium.

Joelinton will not arrive in time.
