FORMER NFL player OJ Simpson has died after battling cancer.
Simpson gained notoriety in particular for the 1994–1995 murder trials in which he was charged with the deaths of ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman.
He was found not guilty on all counts in one of the highest-profile criminal cases in history.
The former running back spent 11 seasons in the NFL playing for only the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers.
He was 76 at the time of his death.
