The game reached penalties following a 1-1 draw in regulation time, with the Netherlands winning the shoot-out 3-1.
Duco Telgenkamp fired home the winning penalty, before sparking the ruckus.
After converting, Telgenkamp rushed up to beaten goalkeeper Jean-Paul Danneberg – celebrating in his face.
He shushed the dejected stopper, before aiming a slap towards his helmet.
This sparked fury from some of the German team, who rushed over to defend their goalkeeper.
Niklas Wellen in particular was raging with Telgenkamp’s behaviour, and had to be separated from Dutch stars.
Fans on social media were left appalled by the antics.
One wrote: “Was wondering why a fight broke out until they showed this after. Not cool from the winners.”

While a second fumed: “Could have won with dignity but just had to be a sore winner.”
A third labelled the Dutch team a “Bunch of privileged brats.”
And a fourth raged: “Embarrassing. Sour winners are worse than sour losers.”
Another added: “Quite a classless response by the Dutch player.”
Prior to the game, Danneberg had suggested that the Netherlands would be afraid to face his German side.
But it was the Dutch who ultimately came out on top, claiming their country’s 11th gold of Paris 2024.
