THE Olympic opening ceremony suffered a technical glitch after a big screen completely cut out as heavy rainfall descends on the French capital.

Thousands of fans lined the River Seine as Paris 2024 officially kicked off with a stunning opening ceremony.

One of the big screens has gone after rainfall caused glitch

The major hiccup came an hour into the £100m opening ceremony.
