FUMING Rory McIlroy told a heckling US fan to “shut the f*** up” as the Ryder Cup exploded into life.
The Irish sensation was lining up to hit his second shot on the 16th hole at Bethpage Black, New York.

He was playing alongside Tommy Fleetwood in the morning foursomes on Saturday.
As he went to hit the ball on his back swing, a fan shouted from the crowd.
It was a clear attempt to put the 36-year-old off at a vital moment of the match.
An angered McIlroy turned around and launched the X-rated blast back at him.
However, it far from hindered the world number two.
The Irishman then hit a sizzling shot onto the green, mere feet from the hole.
Fleetwood then sunk the putt to win the tie for Europe and give them another point.
They beat the pair of Harry English and Colin Morikawa 3&2.
McIlroy was asked about the hostility of the crowd going around the famous Bethpage course.
“You do have to focus on the task at hand,” he said afterwards.
“I think in the team format, foursomes and fourballs you can stick together with your partner which makes it easier.”
McIlroy’s outburst was overheard on live TV cameras around the world.
Fans flocked to social media to reveal their shock at the four-word message.
“McIlroy to a guy in the crowd at 16: “Can you shut the f*** up?,” one viewer said on X.

“The request appears to have been declined.”
Another added: “Love that from Rory, “guys, shut the f*** up”.
“Then sticks it’s inside 2 feet.”
A third commented: “Rory tells someone to shut the f*** up and then hits a dart that’s my goat.”
And one fan said: “The fan deserved that from Rory.”
It was another action-packed day on the course at Bethpage, with swings both ways in the morning session.

THE 45th Ryder Cup takes place from September 26-28 with the US team desperate to wrestle back the crown from Europe.
Scottie Scheffler and the American side will battle Rory McIlroy’s European team in New York.
The infamous Bethpage Black course will be the venue for the latest edition of the pulsating golf tournament.
NBC will broadcast the competition in it’s entirety in the United States.
Friday’s foursomes and fourballs will be live on USA Network from 7 am ET to 6 pm ET.
Saturday’s action will take place during the same hours live on NBC.
And Sunday’s singles will also be on NBC from 12 pm ET to 6 pm ET.
