THE Southport killer had to abort an attack on his old school just a week before he attacked the kids’ dance class, the inquiry into the murders heard yesterday.
Axel Rudakubana was expelled from the Range High School in Formby, Merseyside, in October 2019.

He returned two months later with a knife and a hockey stick, assaulting a pupil.
The inquiry heard that on July 22 last year he asked his father Alphonse when the school broke up for summer then ordered a taxi.
When it arrived, he emerged from the house in his green hoodie and Covid-style face mask — the same he wore for the dance class attack a week later.
He got in and said he wanted to go to the Range school but his father came running out of the house, the driver later told police.
Alphonse was said to be pleading with the taxi driver not to take him.
The driver told Rudakubana, then aged 17, to get out.
Det Chief Insp Jason Pye told the Liverpool Town Hall hearing: “We believe he was potentially going back to that school to attack somebody.”
Seven days later, Rudakubana killed three children.
He was sentenced to a minimum of 52 years’ jail.
The inquiry continues.
