A SHOCKING video has been released of the moment the guitarist of Pearl Jam crashed into a grandfather with his SUV.
Surveillance footage allegedly caught Josh Klinghoffer striking and killing Israel Sanchez while he was walking to the grocery store.

The tragic crash happened on March 18, in Alhambra, California, east of Los Angeles.
A video that was released to The U.S. Sun showed Sanchez walking on a crosswalk.
Around the same time, a black SUV made a left turn, immediately striking him.
Klinghoffer was said to have driven a 2022 GMC Yukon at the time of the crash.
After Sanchez fell to the side of the road, other cars began to stop after they saw what happened.
The driver of the black SUV stopped his car and then proceeded to park before checking on the victim.
Other drivers left their cars to help Sanchez until police arrived.
Sanchez suffered from blunt force trauma to the head and succumbed to his injuries two hours later, according to the lawsuit.
Klinghoffer’s attorney, Andrew Brettler told The U.S. Sun that this was simply a “tragic accident.”
“This was a tragic accident. After which, Josh immediately pulled over, stopped the vehicle, called 911, and waited until police and the ambulance arrived,” Brettler said.
“He is fully cooperating with the traffic investigation.”
‘A CARELESS ACT’
Sanchez’s family is now suing the rockstar for negligence and wrongful death.
The lawsuit claims that Klinghoffer was on the phone during the crash.
After the announcement, Sanchez’s only child, Ashley, spoke out about her father.

“Mr. Klinghoffer should be arrested and prosecuted for homicide. We have a video of him on his cell phone at the time he hit and killed Israel Sanchez, a loving father, in a crosswalk,” said attorney Nick Rowley in a press release.
“Israel Sanchez was on his way to the grocery store to make soup for his family and never came home.
“He did everything right, looking for oncoming traffic and abiding by pedestrian signage, but tragically Mr. Klinghoffer, in a rush and on his phone, hit him fatally from behind with a large SUV.
“The loss and grief that the Sanchez family now faces is immense. We will not stop until there is accountability and justice for Mr. Sanchez and his family.”
“My dad was known for being a great chef, the most talented of his family, the greatest grandpa always full of love and joy,” Ashley said in a news release.
“His smile was so infectious. His life was taken by a careless act of a person who didn’t bother to look where he was driving.”
Ashley is currently seeking a jury trial and damages, however, her lawyer believes Klinghoffer should be in jail.

Before touring with Pearl Jam, Klinghoffer rose to fame as the guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In 2012, he and the band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, making him one of the youngest inductees ever.
in 2019, he left the band to become a touring member of Pearl Jam and Jane’s Addiction.
