She filmed the driver as he paced towards her while holding up his fist.

He can be heard accusing mum-of-two Linda of almost “causing a crash”.

The driver then said: “I’m going to punch you in the face.”

A by-stander in the Lidl car park shouted: “Oi, what are you doing?”

But the raging motorist got back in his car and drove off, with Linda asking shoppers to call the police.

Linda said: “I was shocked and shaken. It makes you feel like you’re not safe.

“I feel intimidated by him. It was just vile. I didn’t know what he would do.

“It’s definitely made me nervous to go back to Lidl. And I’m really wary of blue Ford Fiestas now.

“What do I do if I see him in the shop?”

She added: “It’s scary and unexpected. I was on my own.

“My family was fuming. Nobody who sees that video can believe it.

“All I did was overtake him on the dual carriageway.”

Hampshire Police said: “We were called on 25 October to a report of an assault at the Lidl car park on London Road in Blackwater.

“A woman was threatened by a man, who then hit her in the back twice.

“The man then got into a vehicle and drove away. No injuries were reported.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Hampshire Police on 101, quoting 44230436907.

Lidl said: “We can confirm that on the 25th October, colleagues at our Blackwater store provided comfort and support to a member of the public following an incident that occurred outside of the store.

“As this is a police matter, we are unable to provide any further information.

“But we will continue to assist the authorities in any way that’s helpful.”
