A TOP cop has been suspended over claims he made repeated visits to another police station for alleged “trysts” with a married mum who worked there.
Police chiefs launched a probe into the Tayside-based senior officer’s two-hour round trips to see the civilian staffer.

It is alleged she regularly smuggled him into a Stirlingshire cop shop before the pair went into her office.
A complaint was lodged, and the woman has now left the force.
The policeman, who is a married dad, is now being investigated by Professional Standards officers.

An insider said: “The two of them were always in her office with the blinds closed and the door locked.
“No one had a clue what they were up to.”
It is claimed the cop never parked outside the station — while she used her card to swipe him in and out of the building.
A source said it seemed to be a bid to hide what they were up to.
But they added: “It had the opposite effect.
“Everyone saw him and was desperate to know why he was there.”
Co-workers are said to have even set up a fire drill during one visit to see how they reacted.
The source added: “It was said he appeared in his uniform and was calm and collected. But she was flustered and red-faced.”
A spokesman for Police Scotland said last night: “We received a complaint regarding the on-duty conduct of an officer, which is being investigated by the Professional Standards Department.”
The woman and the senior officer refused to comment when approached.
