A CRICKETER has died aged 35 after suffering a cardiac arrest on the field.
Imran Patel suffered a fatal heart attack while playing for Lucky Builders and Developers against Young XI in the AS Trophy Open Championship.

Patel, the opening batsman, fell to his knees on more than one occasion and spoke to the umpire and the opponent’s captain before leaving the pitch feeling unwell.
The talented all-rounder tragically collapsed on his way back to the pavilion amid a forced drinks break after complaining of arm and chest pain.
He was rushed to a nearby private hospital but doctors confirmed upon his arrival that he had suffered a severe cardiac arrest and passed away.

Known for his exceptional fitness and passion for the game, Patel’s sudden passing has left many in disbelief.
He leaves behind a wife and three children, including a four-month-old daughter.
