A BUILDER who fell through a skylight at a play centre has died.

David Linyard was working as a contractor at Play2Day in Martlesham, Suffolk, in June when he plunged through the roof window.

However, he later died from his injuries at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

The children’s play complex was closed for the scheduled work at the time of the accident.

A spokesperson for the centre said: “We were informed by the family of Mr David Linyard that he had tragically died of injuries sustained in an accident whilst carrying out routine maintenance on the roof of our Play2Day children’s play centre at Martlesham Heath, Ipswich.

“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies continue to be with his friends and family.”
