A SNIPER has killed two detainees and injured another person after opening fire at a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Dallas on Wednesday, according to ICE officials.
The shooter was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on a nearby roof, police said.

The suspect shot at the ICE office from a nearby building, the Dallas Police Department said.
Cops found the shooter dead on the roof of a nearby immigration attorney’s office.
Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons told CNN that a “possible sniper” was behind the attack.
It’s unclear if there were any other suspects involved in the shooting.
All three victims shot were detainees at the facility, NBC News reported.
One victim died at the scene, while two others were rushed to the hospital, according to the Dallas Police Department
US Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem confirmed the shooting in a statement on social media.
“Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities,” Noem said.
“The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gun shot wound.”
Noem said ICE law enforcement has been targeted, although no ICE agents were shot or hurt in the attack.
“While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them,” Noem said.
“It must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families.”
Vice President JD Vance wrote on X, “The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop. I’m praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families.”
It’s unclear why Noem and Vance think this shooting was an attack on law enforcement.
The building, an ICE field office, is not typically open to the public, but is generally occupied by employees, detainees, and civilian visitors.
Police and Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to shots fired at the facility at 6:41 am on Wednesday.
