TWO women have reportedly been stabbed at Sikh temple – with a teenager held on suspicion of attempted murder and cops probing a “disturbance”.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two worshippers were reportedly stabbed at a Sikh temple on Thursday night.

A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 8.10pm on Thursday 11 July to a report of a disturbance at a Gurdwara on Saddington Street in Gravesend.

“It was reported that two people had sustained injuries that were not considered to be life threatening and are being treated locally.

“A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

“Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident but remain on scene while enquiries are ongoing.”
