CHINESE mixed doubles champion Huang Yaqiong found the perfect way to celebrate her mixed doubles gold when boyfriend Liu Yuchen proposed to her.
She had just won gold alongside her doubles partner Zheng Siwei.

Men’s player Liu surprised Huang after her gold medal victory with flowers and then got down on one knee.
In his proposal, Liu said: “I’ll love you forever! Will you marry me?”
And Huang replied: “Yes! I do!”
Liu then placed the engagement ring on Huang’s finger and the pair embraced as they celebrated their big moment.
Huang was fresh off the back of winning gold with Zheng.
Zheng and Huang beat South Koreans Kim Wonho and Jeong Naeun 21-8, 21-11 for the top prize.
It represents redemption for the two, who won silver at Tokyo 2020.
