THE iconic meeting between Europe and the United States is here as the two star-studded teams go head-to-head for the iconic Ryder Cup.

Team Europe will be captained by Luke Donald once again as they look for a repeat of the 2023 edition of the competition.

Rory McIlroy and Co secured a dominant 16 1⁄2– 11 1⁄2 win at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club two years ago.

Team Europe will be hoping to end their drought on US shores as Team USA have won the last two events on home soil.

The Americans are looking to close the overall gap, having won the Ryder Cup nine times to Europe’s 12 since the continent replaced the Great Britain and Ireland team in 1979.

There is a possibility that nothing separates the two teams and the competition ends as a draw – but what happens next?

What happens if the Ryder Cup 2025 is a draw?

Twenty-eight points are on offer across the three days of the Ryder Cup.

It is possible that both Team Europe and Team USA can win 14 points each, resulting in a draw with no more points to play for.

Should the tournament end in a tie at 14-14, the winner of the previous edition will retain the trophy.

So, if the Ryder Cup ends in a draw in 2025, Europe will keep the title.
