Woman, 29, found stabbed to death at home is named – as man ‘known to her’ charged on suspicion of murder

A WOMAN who was allegedly stabbed to death at her home by a man “known to her” has been named.

Halyna Hoisan, 29, was the victim of a fatal stabbing attack at a London home last week.

The stabbing occurred at an address in Greenwich on August 27Google

Yurii Muzyka, 33, was taken into custody today and charged on suspicion of murder.

Halyna Hoisan, known as Lina, was reportedly known to Muzyka.

Police responded to the stabbing at 10.20pm on Wednesday, August 27.

A murder probe was launched into Lina’s death after cops said she was killed at the scene in Greenwich.

Emergency crews, including London‘s Air Ambulance and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service battled desperately to save her life but were unsuccessful.

Muzyka, of New Malden, was taken to hospital following the incident, with life-threatening injuries.

A post-mortem examination of Lina’s body was carried out to confirm the use of force in her death.

Cops have said they are not confident the stabbing was an “isolated incident”.

Muzyka will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, September 6 charged with murder.

Following the stabbing, Detective Inspector Mark Franklin, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family, who at this unimaginably difficult time, are being supported by specialist officers.

“We know this incident will cause great concern within the community.

“While we are confident this is an isolated incident, residents will see an increased police presence in the area.

“If you are concerned please speak to one of those officers on patrol.”

The female victim’s family are being supported by specialist officers.

Cops urged any witnesses to come forward immediately to help the ongoing investigation.

Detectives encouraged anyone with information about the incident to report it via 101, quoting 8218/27AUG.

The Met Police added: “Those who wish to share information anonymously can speak with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
